Eat Your Way To A Hot Body

Super-yummy food that will leave you looking and feeling good!

Flat Abs: Diet soda can make you puffy, so instead drink this slushy

Frozen Watermelon Slush (Makes 4 glasses):

1 ½ cups cubed watermelon, 1 cup sparkling water, ½ cup lime juice, 3 cups ice and fresh mint. In a blender, mix watermelon, sparkling water, lime juice, and ice. Pour slush evenly into glasses, and then top each one with a sprig of mint.

Super-Clear Skin:Think fries give you zits? Nope! Sweet potatoes have vitamin C to keep skin smooth and beta-carotene to prevent sun damage.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries (Makes 4 servings):

2 medium-size sweet potatoes, ½ tsp. salt, and 2 tbsp. olive oil.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cut the potatoes lengthwise into strips, and toss with oil (until potatoes are evenly coated) and salt. Arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake until the fries are tender and lightly browned (about 30 minutes).

TIP:For a dip stir ketchup, a little mayo, and black pepper in a bowl until completely mixed.

Lasting Energy:You can beach it all day without getting draggy, thanks to this hummus-and-cracker combo. It’s the perfect mix of protein and crabs.

Cucumber & Spicy Hummus Sammies (Makes 16 sandwiches):

1 cup spicy hummus, 1 large cucumber, thinly sliced, and 16 whole wheat crackers.

Spread 1 tbsp. hummus on a cucumber slice. Stick a cracker on top of the hummus, then cap it off with another cucumber slice.

Intense Hydration: Props to you for drinking water. But even better: quench your thirst with this potassium packed drink that will give you a boost in the sun.

Sparkling Citrus Water With Berries (Makes 4 glasses):

24 oz. lemon-flavored sparkling water, 8 oz. orange juice, ½ cup blueberries, and ½ cup raspberries.

In a pitcher, combine sparkling water and orange juice, and stir with a large spoon. Add blueberries and raspberries, and then pour mixture into four glasses.

Toned Muscles:Firm up with the muscles-building protein in black beans and cheese. And don’t forget the salsa – it’s a healthy way to add major flavor.

Black Been Quesadillas (Makes 4 servings):

1 can black beans, rinsed, ½ cup low-fat shredded cheese, ½ cup fresh salsa, 4 eight-inch whole wheat tortillas, and 2 tsp. canola oil.

Combine black beans, cheese, and half of the salsa in a bowl. Spread the filling on half of each tortilla, and then fold each one over. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add one quesadilla at a time and cook, turning once, until golden on both sides. Serve with the remaining salsa.
